Our Fabric Philosophy
Fabric is where the journey begins.
Before the cut, before the stitch, before the silhouette takes shape, there is the cloth. For us, fabric is not an afterthought. It is the foundation.
At Rihaal, we select textiles with discipline. Each decision is guided by balance between comfort and structure, breathability and durability, softness and longevity.
Cotton, Closest to the Skin
The side of the fabric that rests against the body is composed primarily of premium cotton woven in Japan.
Cotton offers natural breathability and softness. It absorbs moisture with ease, allowing air to circulate and comfort to remain consistent throughout the day. It regulates without weight and rests lightly against the skin.
This is where comfort begins.
Structure, Engineered Within
Within the weave, structural reinforcement is integrated. Not layered, not imposed, but woven into the fabric itself.
This reinforcement strengthens the cloth, improves recovery after movement, reduces excessive creasing and supports the garment’s silhouette. It allows the thobe to maintain its composure from morning to evening.
The result is not stiffness, but structure.
Not heaviness, but presence.
Balance Over Excess
Many garments prioritise softness alone.
Others prioritise economy.
We prioritise balance.
Our dual structure composition of 80 percent cotton and 20 percent reinforcement is selected to create a fabric that absorbs, regulates and endures while retaining a refined drape.
It falls cleanly.
It moves naturally.
It holds its form.
Woven with Discipline
The fabric is woven in Japan, where textile production is treated as craft rather than convenience. Controlled fibre tension and consistent weave density create a smooth surface and measured weight.
Precision at the fibre level translates to clarity in silhouette.
This is not fabric chosen for trend.
It is fabric selected for longevity.
Designed to Be Worn
A thobe should move with you. It should withstand repetition. It should maintain dignity in wear.
Our fabric is chosen to support daily use, breathable in warmer climates, structured enough to retain shape, resilient enough to endure.
Comfort is considered.
Structure is intentional.
Longevity is expected.
The Journey Continues
From cotton to weaving, from tailoring to final pressing, every stage reflects a commitment to refinement.
Because true craftsmanship is not always visible at first glance.
It is felt.
